This morning I was having a discussion with one of my employees about blogging and making money online. I quickly realized how passionate I am for the subject, and so I decided to write a nice blog post about why blogging is the best job in the world.
Blogging Gives You Flexibility
Blogging isn’t like a regular job. You don’t have to go to work and punch a time clock, and this is one of the reasons why I like it so much. I like to be in control of my life. I like to stay home and work in my pajamas, or take my younger kids to a matinee movie during the middle of the week. Being a blogger gives you so much flexibility, and that is awesome.
Blogging Gives You Diversity
The second reason why I like blogging is because it gives you a lot of diversity. When you’re blogging, you can pretty much write about anything you want. Making money is important, but there are literally millions of different ways to do this online. You can write an e-book, or you can write about 100 different subjects that you enjoy and would like to learn more about. Blogging is super fun because you can do something different every day and still feel like you’re making progress.
Blogging Helps You Make A Difference
Blogging helps you to make a difference in the world. You know, I am the type of person that doesn’t mind sharing my opinion. If I did, I probably wouldn’t have gotten into blogging in the first place. By blogging, I am able to share how I feel about things with others.
I try to be honest in my blog, and at the same time contribute meaningful information that will be able to help out other people. Also, I try to make sure that all of my information is accurate and as authoritative as possible. This means I have to actually spend time at the library reading books, because not everything that you find online is accurate or authoritative.
Blogging Can Generate Income
Blogging can help you to create multiple streams of income. This is probably what attracted me to blogging in the first place. If you could create an income stream from AdSense, and you can create an income stream from selling a product, and another one from an affiliate program or a sponsored advertiser, then these multiple streams of income can quickly add up.
Even though it grows really slowly at first, and it took me almost 3 years of blogging for free before I made enough money to pay for my bills, it is definitely worth the struggle. I like the freedom and I like the income potential that it offers. And I am constantly working to provide better sites and add to my income.
Over time, the websites that you built by blogging can become worth a lot of money. This is one thing that not a lot of bloggers think about. But in my opinion it is one of the greatest benefits. If you can create a site that makes $10 per day, then all you have to do is make that site bigger and it can generate a hundred dollars per day or even $1000 per day.
A website that generates that kind of money is really worth something. Even a website that only generates $150 per day is still worth something. A site like this could be sold to pay off your house, and it takes less time to put together a site that makes $150 a day than it does to pay off your home on a traditional mortgage.
